Change the colors on your computer

You can change the color of your window frames, the Start menu, the taskbar, and more.

To change colors by changing the theme

When you click a theme, you change the combination of pictures, colors, and sounds on your computer. Each theme includes a different window color. For more information about themes, see What is a theme?
1. Click to open Personalization.
2. Click a theme. The pictures, color, and sounds on your computer will change automatically.

To change colors on your computer manually

If you don't want to use the colors associated with your current theme, you can change colors on your computer manually.
1. Click to open Window Color and Appearance.
2. Click the color you want, and then click Save changes.

• If you see the Window Color and Appearance dialog box instead of the Window Color and Appearance window, you might not be using an Aero theme or your computer might not meet the minimum hardware requirements for running Aero.
